Laying it right
- 01Prepare the bedClear rocks and debris so the log touches the soil along its whole length. Work at low water.
- 02Bed it inSet the log at the base of the bank, around the normal water level, in a trench. Deeper bedding resists being lifted.
- 03Stake both sidesWooden stakes about 5 × 5 cm and 0.9–1.2 m long: two at each end, then alternating sides about every 30 cm.
- 04Tie and plantTie across the log between stakes, drive stakes flush, lace logs end to end and bury the ends. Plant plugs about every 30 cm.

About Pre-planted log
Can pre-planted logs be exported?
It depends on the destination. Many countries restrict imports of live plants and soil. Most export buyers order plain logs and plant them on site with local species.
Which plants are used?
Species are agreed per project. Native, water-tolerant species are recommended.
What is the alternative?
A standard coir log planted on site, with plugs set about every 30 cm.
